Cyber Bullying

Bullying happens in all aspects of life from school, to your workplace or closer to home. It has also now appeared online, when we use the Internet and social networks. It is important that young people feel able to report any problems to parents or adults.

Remember:

  • You don’t have to accept online bullying
  • You can block people who harass or abuse you online
  • Social networks have policies about dealing with inappropriate messages and you can report issues directly to them

If someone threatens or harasses you online you should take a screen grab or copy of what has been said

  • You can increase your security settings or avoid the problem networks
  • You can take legal advice or contact the Police
