10 Spanish nationals, resident in La Linea de La Concepcion were arrested yesterday morning after they beached their 3 Rhibs off the eastern end of the runway and run ashore after being pursued at sea by Spanish Law Enforcement vessels.

David Rodriguez Montes, 32yrs

have been charged with Obstructing Airport Operations and Immigration offences. All were subsequently granted police bail to appear before the Magistrates’ court this morning.

Additionally, Tomillero Benavente and Flores Coca were also arrested for outstanding Warrants of Arrests. These were not backed for bail and both individuals were detained in Police Custody overnight in respect of the warrants pending their court appearance this morning.
