Manuel De Sa Fernandes, a 57 year old locally resident Portuguese national, was arrested late yesterday morning by officers of the Safeguarding Unit, following an alleged assault on a 66 year old female.
He was detained in police custody whilst officers conducted enquiries during the course of yesterday, as a result of which De Sa Fernandes has been charged with:
