In the Magistrates’ Court last Friday, Jagdish SACHANANDANI, 61, of Harbour Views Road, was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £500 after he pleaded Guilty to a charge of Driving/In Charge with Alcohol Concentration over the Limit.
Shortly after 0300 hrs on 23 April of this year, SACHANANDANI was seen by officers to be driving on Coral Road with his car straddling the central white line and also indicating longer than would normally be expected.
Having activated the blue lights on their vehicle, officers followed SACANANDANI who drove into Waterport Road before stopping.
He then blew 67 micrograms (ug) of alcohol per 100 millimetres of breath and was arrested The legal limit is 35ug.
