A 41-year-old local man has been arrested as part of a pre-planned operation by detectives from the RGP’s Digital Safety and Offender Management Team, Economic Crime, and Digital Forensics units, on suspicion of the following offences:
Taking/Publishing Indecent Photographs of Children
Arranging or Facilitating Commission of a Child Sex Offence
Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class A Drug
Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class B Drug
The investigation commenced several months ago, following the receipt of intelligence from international partners via the Gibraltar Financial Intelligence Unit. The RGP’s initial investigation and analysis of financial transactions culminated with the execution of a search warrant at a local residential property this week, with detectives seizing several electronic devices, approximately 150grms of a suspected controlled Class ‘A’ Drug, approximately 155grms of a suspected controlled Class ‘B’ drug, and paraphernalia associated with the supply of controlled drugs.
The investigation remains ongoing.
