35 year old Christian BONFANTE, of Laguna Estate, appeared before the Supreme Court today, and was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months imprisonment.
BONFANTE had pleaded guilty to several charges related to Domestic Abuse on the 23rd January 2026.
The matter was originally reported to the Royal Gibraltar Police in August 2025, and led to BONFANTE being arrested and subsequently charged following an extensive investigation by detectives from the RGP's Safeguarding Team.
These charges included:
• One count of Actual Bodily Harm
• One count of Strangulation
• One count of Common Assault
• One count of Obstruction
