90 year old Charles Emmanuel Montegriffo appeared today before the Supreme Court and was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for a number of historical child sex offences, having previously pleaded guilty on the 23rd February 2026.
The charges included:
· Two counts of Assault of a Child Under 13 by Penetration.
· Four counts of Sexual Activity with a Child.
· One count of Encouraging or Assisting a Child to Engage in Sexual Activity.
The offences took place during the period 2016-17 and 2023-24, and after the offences were reported to the Royal Gibraltar Police in September 2024, detectives from the RGP’s Safeguarding Team conducted an extensive investigation that resulted in the charges.
