Detectives from the RGP’s Criminal Investigation Department, supported by officers from the wider Crime & Protective Services Division and Response Teams, have over the past few days arrested a total of 7 male juveniles aged 14 and 16, on suspicion of Burglary.

The investigation was commenced following a report received on the 25th February 2026 of a Burglary at residential property in the Upper Town area, where property valued between £20,000 and £30,000 was reported stolen.

During the course of the past week, the extensive investigation had let to the arrests and associated execution of multiple search warrants at local residential addresses, resulting in officers recovering property valued at approximately £20,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and the RGP takes the opportunity to remind home owners and tenants to ensure residences are adequately secured at all times, even when leaving a residential property unattended for a short period.
