37 year old RGP Inspector Sean PICTON, and 38 year old former RGP officer Antony Charles BOLAÑOS, appeared before the Supreme Court where they each plead guilty to one count of Obtaining Personal Data and one count of Disclosure of Personal Data, contrary to Section 175 (1) (a) of the Data Protection Act 2004. Charges of Misconduct in Public Office and Unauthorised Access to Computer Material were withdrawn.
Both men were charged in February 2024 at the conclusion of an RGP investigation.
The matter has been adjourned for sentencing at the Supreme Court on Monday 2nd February 2026.
Inspector Sean Picton remains interdicted.
