A Spanish national has been sentenced to 3 years and 4 months imprisonment by the Supreme Court this afternoon.
Luis ESPINOSA ESTEVEZ, 36, a resident of La Linea, was arrested on 25 January this year by RGP Drug Squad officers at Winston Churchill Avenue in an operation supported by HM Customs Flexible Anti-Smuggling Team (FAST).
ESPINOSA ESTEVEZ was intercepted after he had ridden his motorcycle into Gibraltar.
When searched, cocaine to the value of approximately £4,000 was found.
He was later charged with Importation, Possession and Possession with Intent to Supply cocaine.
He had entered a guilty plea at an earlier appearance.
