Eight Men Recovered by RGP Marine Section
After being informed that a small RHIB had been seen around 200 metres south west of Europa Point early this morning, the RGP’s Marine Section immediately deployed and were able to pick up 8 males from their 4-metre, single engine Zodiac.
The males, all of North African origin, were brought back to the Marine Section’s base where they were arrested on suspicion of being in BGTW without a valid permit or certificate.
The ages of the men ranged from 19 to 32. None of them required medical attention.
