42 year old Stephen MAKEY, a resident of Harbour Views, appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19th December charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled “Class B” Drug.
MAKEY had been charged following an incident the previous evening (Thursday 18th December), when Response Team officers challenged him whilst conducting a foot patrol in the area of Varyl Begg Estate. On being searched by officers, MAKEY was found in possession of two pieces of Cannabis Resin weighing approximately 127 grams.
He was then arrested, interviewed and later charged to appear before the Magistrates’ Court the following morning, where he was fined £800.00.
