Local Man Sentenced after £1,300 Cocaine Seizure

A local man has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison after cocaine worth almost £1,300 was found in his home.
Shane Zammit, 39, of Laguna Estate, was arrested after Drug Squad officers and the RGP’s K-9 unit conducted a search warrant at his residence on the 15th of March last year.
Inside, detectives found and seized a package containing individual wraps of cocaine, weighing 21.16g.
Following an investigation involving Scene of Crimes detectives, Zammitt was then arrested and later charged with:
Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class A Drug
Zammit pleaded Guilty to the charge and was sentenced at the Supreme Court this morning.
