A local man has been sentenced by the Supreme Court today after pleading guilty to a number of historic sex offences.

Antonio BOLAÑOS, 79, had previously pleaded Guilty to four counts of Sexual Activity with a Child Under the Age of 16 years.

Two of the offences took place in 1965/66 and two in 2007.

·         On Count 1, Sexual Activity with a Child, he received a three week custodial sentence, suspended for two years.

·         On Count 2, Engaging in Sexual Activity in the Presence of a Child, he received an 11 week custodial sentence, suspended for two years.

·         On Count 3, Sexual Activity with a Child, he received a 43 week custodial sentence, suspended for two years.

·         On Count 4, Sexual Activity with a Child, he received a 27 week custodial sentence, suspended for two years.

All sentences are to run consecutively. The sentencing followed an intensive investigation by a team of detectives.
