RGP Economic Crime Officers complete Strategic Management Training

Two Royal Gibraltar Police officers have returned to Gibraltar after completing Strategic Management Training in the United Kingdom.

Detective Chief Inspector Luis White and Detective Inspector Albert Loddo, both from the RGP Economic Crime Unit, have completed a week-long strategic management training programme at Sedgley Park in Prestwich, Manchester.

The course was delivered by specialist fraud investigation trainers and certified by Skills for Justice (UK), with the curriculum focusing on areas such as risk management, ethics, strategy, and policy development. The training also covered compliance with standards set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and MONEYVAL (Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism).

The RGP officers joined delegates from other law enforcement and financial intelligence agencies across the Quad Island Forum, including representatives from Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. The training provided participants with practical tools and a strategic framework for addressing financial crime, as well as a platform for shared learning and international collaboration.

This latest training forms part of a wider RGP programme to maintain the continuous professional development of staff who are deployed across the various core-policing and specialised policing disciplines.
