Traffic Management Arrangements – Ceremony of the Keys

The Royal Gibraltar Police will be implementing a number of parking restrictions and temporary traffic diversions, as part of the wider policing and security operation for this year’s Ceremony of the Keys, scheduled to take place on Thursday 9th October 2025.
Parking Restrictions (from 8:00am Thursday 9th October 2025 until further notice)
• Corral Road / Market Place – Parking areas for m/cycles and Public Service Vehicles, including the bus terminus, as directed by signage.
• Landport Ditch carpark – Parking spaces situated along the bastion wall below Grand Battery House will be subject to restrictions. Controlled access to the car park will be available.
• The entirety of Kings Lines.
• Waterport Road – Parking bays opposite Ramsons Supermarket, as this area will be the designated temporary bus terminal relocated from Market Place.
• Line Wall Road – Parking spaces opposite the Gib Oil petrol station, as this area will be designated as the temporary taxi-rank that will be relocated from Casemates Hill and Market Place.
• Casemates Hill – Taxi Rank will closed and vehicles relocated prior to 1700hrs.
Road Closures (5:00pm to 9:30pm on Thursday 9th October 2025)
• Corral Road – Access to this road will be closed between the junction with Waterport Roundabout and the area below Smith Dorrien Bridge. Residents of Ocean Heights/City-Centre will be able to access Fish Market Road via Waterport Roundabout / Market Place by way of controlled entry / exit passage.
• Corral Road will only be accessible from Winston Churchill Avenue and Smith Dorrien Avenue, to provide access into Landport Ditch car park.
• Cooperage Lane – Vehicular access to Crutchett’s Ramp by authorised permit holders will be temporarily restricted during the time of the event, namely, the period between 6:00-9:00pm on Thursday 9th October.
