Annual Policing Plan

Each year the Gibraltar Police Authority is obliged to produce an Annual Policing Plan. Working in conjucntion with the Royal Gibraltar Police, the Policing Priorities for the year are set. These are decided based on the annual public survey, along with statistical analysis of crime trends and future demand predictions.

This GPA Policing Plan aligns directly with His Majesty's Government of Gibraltar’s aim to support a safe and thriving economy. The RGP, as the lead law enforcement agency in Gibraltar, will do this by continuing to lead on physical security in Gibraltar, continuing to maintain and further develop the already well-established relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders, and, overall, do its utmost to ensure a safer Gibraltar.

You can read a copy of the latest Policing Plan (2022-2023) by clicking on the image to the left.

The plan was published by the Gibraltar Police Authority (GPA) in consultation with His Excellency the Governor, His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar and with members of the public.

It followed extensive discussions and participation from the Commissioner of Police and his Command Team, with a focus of keeping Gibraltar safe by working for the community and safeguarding the vulnerable.

The plan also aims to transform the wider service of the RGP and to continue to address the increase in financial crime and the impact of drugs on our community.
