A local man has been jailed for three weeks today (Thursday 17 July) – after pleading guilty to burglary at a city centre bar.

The burglary happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning (16 July) and was reported to the RGP just after 9am that same morning.

Yesterday afternoon, a few hours after the initial report and following an investigation by Response Team 4 officers, Christian Baglietto, 47, of Prince Edward’s Road was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

CCTV footage showed Baglietto entering the bar through a window and taking approximately £100 to £120 from the bar, before leaving the premises.

At New Mole House Police Station, he was interviewed, charged and kept in police custody overnight pending his appearance at the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
