Three men have been charged with offences under the Immigration, Asylum & Refugee Act and for Going Equipped for Theft.
All three were arrested by uniformed officers from RGP Response Team 4 in the evening of Thursday 30th July 2026, following information received from off-duty RGP and HM Customs officers, who had observed and challenged the men whilst in possession of bolt-cutters and targeting bicycles in the area of Europort.
Following their arrest, enquiries revealed neither of the three individuals held the required documentation to enter or remain in Gibraltar. They were subsequently interviewed and charged yesterday evening.
23-year-old Algerian national Louai BAHKOUL, 31-year-old Moroccan national Oussama EL BRADI, and 30-year-old Aymen FATMI, were charged with one count of “Non-Gibraltarian found in Gibraltar without a valid Permit or Certificate”, and one count of “Going Equipped for Theft.”
All three men have remained in police custody since Thursday 30th July, and will appear before the Magistrates’ Court on Monday 3rd August 2026.
