RGP Sergeant Retires

Sergeant Kevin Fortuna retired after 28 years in the Royal Gibraltar Police last Friday.

The 53-year-old joined the force in January 1997 and worked in Response Teams, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Resource Management over the years.

Officers and civilian staff marked his retirement as an officer at a leaving do breakfast at the IPA Police Club.

However, it will be a short goodbye, as Kevin will start a new job as a civilian custody officer at New Mole House next month.

Marking the end of his career as a police officer, he said: “If I could do it all again, I would. I really enjoyed my time in CID and interactions with victims of crime.”
