Traffic Management Arrangements – Battle of Trafalgar Remembrance Ceremony.

The Royal Gibraltar Police will be implementing a number of parking restrictions and traffic diversions as part of the wider policing and security operation for the Battle of Trafalgar Remembrance ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Friday 17th October 2025.

Parking Restrictions (from 7:00am Friday 17th October 2025 until further notice)

• Trafalgar Cemetery Taxi-Rank.
• Loading/Unloading bay situated outside Trafalgar House / SOHO Ltd


Road Closures - (from 8:30am to 11:00am on Friday 17th October 2025)

• Main Street – Access to Main Street via Southport Gates for vehicular traffic travelling northbound.
• Trafalgar Interchange – Vehicles travelling southbound along Line Wall Road will be diverted back north into Main Street at the junction with Southport Gates, by Ince’s Hall.
• Vehicular access to the city-centre will still be possible via Line Wall Road (north side) during this time.
• Vehicular access to the Upper Town will still be possible via Prince Edward’s Gate and via Convent Ramp / King’s Yard Lane into Hargrave’s Parade.

Public Service Vehicles:


• Trafalgar Cemetery Taxi-Rank will be re-located to Trafalgar Hill by the entrance to Trafalgar House / SOHO Ltd.
• Gibraltar Bus Service routes through the city-centre will be temporarily diverted via Queensway.

During the period of the temporary road closure, motorists travelling between the North and South districts are advised to use Queensway and Eastern Side of Gibraltar.
